alperstein
I have a question to ask. I've read many Forum comments and am quite confused. I built my system with an ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard, Intel 6600 Core 2 Duo, 700 Watt Thermaltake power supply, 2 Gigs Corsaire PC2 6400 RAM, XFX 8800 GTX videocard. When I try overclocking my CPU, either through the BIOS or using ASUS AI Booster my memory frequency goes way down and latency goes way up. When I overclock my RAM my CPU speed goes way down so I just can't win. I'm trying to overclock my memory (or keep it at 800 MHz) while at the same time overclock my CPU. I've tried increasing the memory voltage but that didn't do it. I'd really appreciate anyone's help.... Thanks... Louis
DerekT
Try these settings: Configure System Frequency/Voltage AI Overclocking = ManualCPU Frequency = 325DRAM Frequency = 667MHzPerformance Mode = AutoPCI Express Frequency = 100PCI Clock Synchronization Mode = 33.33 Memory Voltage = 2.1vCPU Core Voltage = AutoFSB Termination Voltage = AutoMCH Chipset Voltage = AutoICH Chipset Voltage = Auto Advanced Chipset Settings Configure DRAM by SPD = DisabledDRAM CAS# Latency = 5DRAM RAS# Prechardge = 5DRAM RAs# to CAS# Delay = 5DRAM RAS# Activate to Precharge: 15DRAM Write recovery Time = 4 Leave all else on AUTO settings. Download Memtest from http://www.memtest.org and write the image to a CD. Boot to the CD and allow a few passes. Please post screenshots of CPU-z's CPU, Memory and SPD tabs.
