Corsair XMS2 PC8500C5 problems

I've had NOTHING but problems with this ram in my system. I've never not ONCE been able to run it at 1066 5-5-5-15 2.2v in this system ever I've always had to run it slower. Now I try to set it at the specified settings for 1066 and I can't post period with both sticks in. I have to have one out. This is absolute bull crap and I feel like I was cheated buying this ram period. Did I just get a bad bunch or is everyone having problems with this ram? What do I need to do to get it replaced or something cause I can't stand it.

Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and then set SLI Ready memory to CPU Max modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.

Did you try them one at a time?

I can only post with 1 in at a time, both in will not work. It used to but I had to downclock because the system would just reboot after post. So I decided to try and run it at the speeds I paid for and it just stopped working period.

Well I'm not RMAing I made a last ditch effort with the store I bought it from to get it replaced because I lost the receipt and they finally replaced it. New sticks are exactly the same but I can't run at 1066 5-5-5-15 2.2v still it won't post. I'm at 1000mhz 5-5-5-15 2.175v(lowest I could get to post) I'm very curious as to why I can't run this ram at the speed it's advertised this is two sets now.

Can you tell me the exact settings you are trying to set?

All you should need to do is with a 1066 CPU and the latest bios installed (P24 I think) load setup defaults and then set SLI Ready Memory to CPU MAX and disable Legacy USB and test with http://www.memtest.org.

I'm going into my fsb settings setting unlinked putting the ram at 1066 then going to the timings and putting 5 5 5 15 2T going to voltage and setting 2.2v. I have the newest bios and I'll try disabling legacy USB. So what you're suggesting is leaving it at Auto for the FSB of the CPU and Ram, then turning on SLI Ready Memory(even if I don't have SLI) and turning CPU Max overclock? I'll give it a try gona reset the bios defaults.
