Supposively its suppose to run 4.4.4.12 2.1 volts. Well i can set my timings in BIOS to that and it runs fine until i run games. Sometimes the games wont even open up. I tried 1 stick at a time and got the same result. The only stable settings was setting the timmings in bios to Auto. I am running the most current BIOS and drivers. Auto has it running 5.5.5.18. From what i hear its a known issue that this mem doesnt work well. Just heard that though...PLease help!

The staff here work business hours and days. Thus you will only find members like me here otherwise. Mon-Fri From 9:00AM - 530PM will have Corsair staff coming in and dealing with issues.

I'd like to help you but I have not had any Nvidia chipset based Intel CPU boards to test. I only trouble-shoot the Intel chipset boards. I personally stay away from Nvidia chipset based Intel CPU boards as they seem to be far more problematic than the Intel chipset based CPU boards.

You might have to wait a bit longer for your issue.

Run memtest, you can download it at memtest.org. Check that the voltage is correct in bios (Hardware Monitor - Voltage - Memory)

If you pass memtest I would suggest doing a fresh install of windows.

As to provide some empirical evidence on Nvidia chipsets being more problematic. I know this is Derek's opinion, mine however differs.

A search for P5B on the Corsair forums yields 151 results.

A search for 680i yields 97 results.

A search for Striker yields 27 results of which some overlap.

A serach for P5N32-E yields 23 results.

For all 680i related complaints not even taking into account overlap it still yields less results on a support forum then just one motherboard for the 965p Intel chipset.

Searching google for "P5B Problems" yields 541,000 results.

Searching google for "Gigabyte DS3 Problems" yields 202,000 results.

Searching google for "680i problems" yields 575,000 results.

Searching google for "Asus Striker Problems" yields 114,000 results.

What I am trying to say is that I hope at some point you give the 680i a chance, because no board is without faults. I believe you will find the 680i a very configurable and pretty speedy board.

Also, can you list all of your bios settings that relate to the CPU, RAM, and voltages.

It has been my experience that more issues arise with this board and certainly the one company where I am connected with has a higher degree of return rates on 680i than either P5B or DS3 together. This is NOT good empirical evidence though, which is why I state it as an "Opinion" and do not try to couch this view of mine as fact.

Google is a strange empirical testing ground. It will not show the amount of P5B/DS3 being sold vs their Nvidia counterparts and such "empirical evidence" is birthed with skewed results. I would take that "Proof" that the 680i is not more problematic than Intel chipset based CPU boards as invalid.

Not that your view is invalid Yoxxy, but certainly such proof as you try and couch your opinion as factual evidence is invalid.

First thing, I am not sure there is any correlation to what DerekT and Yoxxy, while both may have opinions or personal feeling about a given product or MB, I have to shy away from making these types of points as it will normally not help the person who originally posted solve his problem.

So wickedsick I do apologize for them; they were trying to help you I sincerely believe but the issue for what ever reason took them to another place LOL.

Again I do apologize.

Now with that out of the way I think maybe a better way to approach this is this. Its not uncommon for New MB's and or new chipsets to be or have bugs in them when first released and this MB is no exception, so please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the voltage and timings manually and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org
