BrutalDawg
Hi my computer specs are P4 3.06GHz 533FSB Skt478 HT Intel 865PERL 2x512MB Kingston Value Memory @ 333 in Dual Channel Would i notice any performance gains if i changed to 266 since it would match my output of my FSB? Or should i just keep the PC3200 DDR400 (downclocked to 333)?
DerekT
You would not notice any difference from 333MHz dram and 400MHz dram on a 333MHz setting if the timings were the same on both.
BrutalDawg
but is having it at 266 better since it would match my processor's FSB
DerekT
Better? I don't know what you mean by better. If you have two cars driving 60k and one is capable of 60k with the other capable of 80k but will never go above 60 then it really doesn't matter.
