Couper
RMA# : R206806 Case #17655 I sent 2 sticks of ram on 01/02/07 by expedited mail and still haven't heard any word back. Just wondering when I can anticipate getting some ram back. If it's going to be a while, I might have to go out and buy some new stuff. Thank-you very much for looking into this for me. Very much appreciated! Couper Gananoque, ON
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 19, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 19, 2007 I am sorry but it has not got to us yet, do you have tracking information from the shipper you used?
Couper
I do, but it was sent from Canada. I often find packages with Canada Post don't give much detailed information once the package enters the States. https://em.canadapost.ca/emo/basicPin.do?trackingId=cx177812405ca&trackingCode=PIN&action=query&language=en&scloc=segment Is there any advance RMA option? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 19, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 19, 2007 Have you requested a Delivery conformation? And you are welcome to call our customer service and see if there is anything they can do to help speed it up. 888-222-4346 Ext. "0"
Couper
Yeah, I threw my email address in there for delivery confirmation. Was on hold w/ Canada Post for 35 minutes this afternoon and gave up. I'll give customer support a call on monday - hopefully they can advance RMA it. Really missing my RAM! Couper
If it hasn't shown up at Corsair by today, I'll give Canada Post another shout.

Couper
Just called Canada Post and it's as I feared: they can't get any info on the shipment until it reaches its destination in the states. If the package isn't received by Feb 2nd, they're going to run a trace on it and begin the process of filing a claim. Ugh! Thanks for your help, RAMGUY! Couper
Will do - in the meantime, if it does show up, please give me a heads up :). Is an email generally auto-generated when an RMA is being fulfilled?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 25, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 25, 2007 No I am sorry it is not but you should ask our customer service to send you tracking information. However, a new system will be in place later this year that should offer us that ability!
Couper
Shipping information still shows nothing and I'm going to begin the trace/claim procedure. What a pain in the butt. If someone stole my defective RAM from the mail, they're going to be sorely disappointed. :(
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 29, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 29, 2007 Probably its just late getting here, have you talked to our customer service?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 30, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 30, 2007 What time are you calling and what number did you call and did you hit any extensions? And please tell me the time zone you are in?
Couper
I usually try around 7-8 PM EST. I just call and hit "0" for customer service. It just cycles through to the general voicemail box.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 1, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 1, 2007 Customer Service hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time Monday Thru Friday excluding Holidays, so I am sorry but you are calling after we have closed. Couper
I'll have to call this week again during business hours then. I've just initiated a trace with Canada Post, who said it could take up to 30 days to complete.. and THEN they'll process a claim for a lost package. Ugh. I may just have to break down and buy more RAM in the meantime.

Couper
I've begun a trace with Canada Post. Apparently, it could take up to another 30 days to locate the package. Ugh! Guess I should've gone with UPS.

Couper
Well, Canada post ran the trace and it came back inconclusive. My package is officially lost. They're reimbursing me for the basic insurance amount ($100CAD) + the cost of my postage. I'm not sure what the going rate for 2 512 mb sticks of Value Select is these days. Might have to upgrade! Thanks for your help, RAMGUY. Maybe, one day, it'll get there.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 10, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 10, 2007 It might, we had a customer call us and ask if he could check an RMA from last year? Shocked at the request I asked him what the whole story was. He told us the USPS deliverd his package back to him after one year (15 months to be exact) and wanted to know if he could still get a RMA on it. The orginal RMA never got to us and I guess they just sent it back to him.
