8 Pin PCI-E Connection?

I know that the modular design for the 520 and 620 allow for future connectivity so I was wondering if Corsair is going to offer an 8pin cable for the future R600 cards? I know that the X2800XTX will be the only board that will still use fhe 6pin cable but, needs 2 6pins like the 8800GTX. All the lower variants to the x2800XTX will require the new 8pin connector.

It's also said that the boards will come with an adaptor but, I really dont want to do that since the modular PSU is naturaly not 1 line of wire so if i use an adaptor ontop of the modular wire to begin with then its going to be like splicing a wire twice.

Being that it is a modular design, are the newer modular Corsairs going to have the same cable connections at the base of the PSU or is it going to be something entirely diffrent? If that is the case then how fair is that for those that have bought the older modular design that just want the newer connections, but can't simply because the newer connections are now proprietary to just the newer PSU designs?

Unless the connections are the same.

I dissagree

"Looking at the Seasonic main PCB inside the Corsair PSU reveals only two rails, labeled 12V1 and 12V2. There is no third rail. This is illustrated well at Hardware Secrets. Although I can not say that these rails are or are not somehow electronically separated in the PSU's circuitry somewhere, I did find that there was no OCP (over current protection or "limiter") on either of these rails as I was able to load any given connector up 30 to 40A with no drop in voltage, system shut down, etc."

"So it is my opinion that we essentially have a single 12V rail PSU here. Certainly there is nothing wrong with this given the problems high end video cards have had with getting enough power from a single 12V rail when the OCP is set to the typical 240VA limit. But we do lose the advantages of multiple rails such as protection from damage to one rail from a short on another and the simple "filtration" of noise introduced from one rail to another."

What is preventing an 8pin PCI-E wire from working with either the 520 or 620 since each rail doesn't have an OCP protection for the 12v?
