sylvestre
Hi, I'm running a set of TWINX1024-3200LL for a long time now. Everything was fine until 2 weeks ago when the PC refused to boot. From various tests it appears that one of the 2 modules is not working anymore. Hardware: P4P800S, Celeron 2.5Ghz, Asus 6600GT Stick 1 & 2 in place: no boot, no beep, just hangs Stick 1 in place: boots with 512Mb RAM detected, all working fine Stick 2 in place: no boot, no beep, just hangs I've tried single sticks in both memory places. Following this I've tried the same sticks on a A8R-MVP, x64 3700+ and Asus 7300LE Stick 1 & 2 in place: strange value of 576Mb detected, boots but fails on Windows startup Stick 1 in place: boots with 512Mb RAM detected, all working fine Stick 2 in place: no boot, no beep, just hangs My conclusion is that stick 2 is dead or so. What other test could I do? Memtest is not even possible as it blocks at BIOS level... Thanks for your help Sylvestre
