I'm running a Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro-SLI Motherboard with AMD 4400+ 64 X2. I had originally one set of TWINX1024-3200C2PT that ran with no problem. I just ordered a second set and have been having many problems. At first computer would post but then reboot after several seconds.

Going into the bios it seemed that the motherboard had defaulted to 3-3-3-8 timings that the recently bought set did not like. I set them to listed timings of 2-3-3-6. My computer now boots but often either freezes in games or I get a BSOD. As far as I could find out my motherboards default voltage for memory is 2.5 and can be raised to 2.6 and 2.7.

Another thing I noticed on examining the memory sticks was that the original pair that I bought a year to a year and a half ago are labeled as version 5.2 while the ones I just received are labeled version 4.2. I wonder if this has anything to do with the problems I have been having.

So what shoudl I set my timings to and what should the voltage be? THanks.
