jcorrado
I have a TWINX2048-3200C2PT set of memory which is causing multiple random BSODs when running windows. I ran Memtest86 and got over 2000 faults. I replaced this pair with a single stick of 512Meg PC2700 I had, and all problems went away. As I sent in a mail-in rebate, newegg will not replace the item directly.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 17, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 17, 2007 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
jcorrado
Mobo: DFI LANPARTY UT Expert CPU: Opteron 165 at stock speed FSB & RAM: stock speed The problem also occurred on my other machine: Mobo: Asus A7N8X Deluxe Cpu: Athlon 2000XP (166 x 10) FSB & RAM: 100% of CPU setting It appears that Newegg is honoring the RMA I sent them. I sent it back to them before I read their requirement that RMAs on items that have mail-in rebates requiring the UPC to be cut out be handled directly with the supplier... I'll find out when the shipment arrives (due 1/22/07).

jcorrado
Well, actually... The BIOS on the DFI Expert has a plethora of RAM related settings, more so than the standard timings/latency normally supplied (see attached) Any guides to what the settings should be to optimize my RAM's speed?
