physx
My new XMS2-6400C4PRO seems to be having issues with my system. So i contacted ASUS to check that the ram was compatible with the motherboard (ASUS P5N32-E SLI), they confirmed that the ram should be compatible and have no errors with my motherboard. so i borrowed some older cosair DDR2 ram off my friend & when installed the system boots fine. therefore drawing my conclusion that thre ram was having some compatibility issues with the system. so i exausted all my options by flashing the bios with the newest bios (0602), though i still had no success, in addition all my componets inside my PC are brand new including my PSU (cosair 620w). i have also tried each ram slot on the motherboard with 1 ram module at a time with also no success. i have researched online about this problem and still cannot find an answer or a solution to this issue. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 15, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 15, 2007 Please make sure that you have the latest bios as that may cause this issue. But if not we can try replacing the modules. Please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them or it.
physx
would it be wise to trade in my Corsair TwinX-6400C4PRO and use the credit towards the XMS2 Dominator Series Modules? and if that would solve this ram issue... thats what my local computer retailer said would be the best way to fix this problem. or do you believe it is the ram itself which the fault lies, and some new Corsair TwinX-6400C4PRO can aid my problem? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 16, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 16, 2007 That may solve the problem, yes but its a bios issue from what we have found so far and will be solved with the next release of bios. EVGA just released a Bios to correct that issue for this chipset or MB.
