Voltage for my DDR2 8500C5

I get bad feedback from my nVidia monitor tool, which tells me that my current voltage at 2.2V might destroy my DDR2 Corsair 8500C5.

As I use Evga 680i SLI, I have the opportunity to get an optimized system by setting overclocking and memory timing (as well as voltage) with CPUOC Max.

And, yes it found my DDR2 8500C5 to be 5-5-5-15 at 2.2V. Therefore I am surprised to see the red danger symbol...

Is it something I should concern about?

What can I do about it?

To remind users of the risk of voltage adjustments when not following the JEDEC DDR2 voltages, the risky voltage values are marked by a red color. These values ARE risky for average DRAM, but your DRAM is not average and can use more voltage to function correctly.

You have no worry here. This is normal. I have my 8500C5's at 2.2v and it shows red as well. My DRAM is rated for 2.2v and is lifetime warranted at that voltage by Corsair.

Thanks!

Do you think it is the same reason why my GPU also shows up red? It is a XFX 8800GTX and according to nVidia monitor it is running at 1.5V. I suspect it is set automatically, since I haven't tweaked any settings for my GPU.

I was under the impression that the default VDD at the 3D level for the 8800GTX was only 1.26V. Have you volt modded this GTX? Did you buy it at the retail level? Does the mainboard or software allow for the manipulation of the VDD? Have you or anyone flashed a custom BIOS for this video adapter?
