CliffC
I am running the following: Asus A7V8X, 333Mz, Athlon XP 2700 This has run quite some time with a single CMX512-3200C2 and was very reliable. Recently I decided to try increasing memory by replacing the one 512 stick with a Twinx pair of CMX1024-3200C2 using the same memory settings (see below). Memtest is happy (ran it completely through two different times) but about once a week there is a random lock-up now. Settings are: CAS 2.0; RAS to CAS 2; RAS Precharge 2; Active Precharge 2; 1T Command Enabled; Bank Interleave and voltage are Auto. Memory is in first and last (1 and 3) slots. Question: Any ideas for a setting tweek that may eliminate the once a week random lock-up (and not cut performance noticeably)? I don't think it is software since I didn't change any drivers etc. when the problem started, just the RAM. Thanks

CliffC
Actually I was thinking about maybe something that would have a much smaller performance hit (especially since it works fine the vast majority of the time). Maybe a voltage setting or a lesser used timing. I don't know what the recommended or maximum voltage would be for this memory (is it available on the Corsair product web site somewhere?). The last time I tried slowing down the main memory settings, it felt like I was "driving" a mop - much slower.
