dogslife
I currently have CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory installed on my KV8-MAX3 motherboard. There is one open slot, and the max ram is 2GB (i think). Can I add a 1GB stick? If so which one ? Thanks
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 13, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 13, 2007 No I am sorry all of the module would need to be matched with this MB and if you install more than 2 double sided module with this MB you might be limited to DDR200 or DDR333 at best. I would suggest replacing what you have now with one set of Twinx2048-3200C2 set of modules for best performance.
dogslife
Thanks, I was afraid of that. I just checked NewEgg for a quick price, $275, and whats funny is...that's what I paid for the twin 512's . Thanks again.
