TWINX 1024 3500 LL Pro w/ DFI Ultra-D

Recommended Posts

CPU - AMD Sempron 3000 (Socket 939)

Mobo - DFI Ultra D

RAM - TWINX 1024 3500 LL Pro (yes 1024 NOT 2048)

I am having issues posting with the modules in the Mobo.

If I Clear CMOS, I can POST, if I touch ANYTHING in the bios, no POST.

I believe it is a timing issue. I have tried to find any Timing guides, but to no avail. Can anyone point to some, or tell me what chips are used in the module so I can find timings for other brands with same chips.

Even if it does POST, I am unable to load Ubuntu as it hangs.

Thx

Woz

I'll give those settings a try, but I have tried 3-3-3-6 already with vdimm @ 2.9. I have even tried the sticks at 333mhx

Yeah I know the DFI's can be tricky ...... I have 3 of em! :): :): It could be a mobo issue. I am going to try them in my main rig, see if she will fire up, AND reset.

Kinda hard to do memtest with a DFI, its built into the bios, and well i cant make any changes

but, i'll give those settings a try

nah ... I get the "How much money have you spent on "pricilla""? (yes, she named my puter, cos she cant hate an inanimate object, so she personalized it with a name) "vs how much have you spent on me!"

... yet I get her gifts constantly
