AlecDeLeon
Hi RAM GUY, I purchased TWINX2048-3200PT modules to replace my TWINX1024-3200C2 modules several weeks ago and everything was smooth sailing during that duration. However, just today, I was unable to boot to Windows no matter what I tried (safe mode, startup CD, etc.) so I decided to switch back to the TWINX1024-3200C2 modules and everything worked again. This clearly indicates faulty modules and I would like to request an RMA. Thanks.
AlecDeLeon
Just for verification, I did run MemTest86+ V1.65 and the modules have completely failed the tests.
AlecDeLeon
Bump just to make sure RAM GUY notices this.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 9, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 9, 2007 Please check with the Video card maker but the PSU you have may not be enough for that Video Card. Or please test your modules in another system to be sure.
AlecDeLeon
RAM GUY, I've been running this PSU/videocard pair for almost a year now with no troubles at all. I'm very confident it's due to bad ram modules based on the Memtest results I've received, being unable to boot using the Windows startup CD, going into any of the safemode options, etc. In fact, I couldn't do anything at all until I switched back to my older modules which completely resolved the problems. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 9, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 9, 2007 Let's get them replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them or it. But I would suggest checking your PSU as its marginal at best!
