rtbrown
An iBook G4 (12-inch Late 2004) has a Corsair RAM module( P/N VS512SDS400, Serial No. 829-0521064-0-633494) that fails the Apple hardware RAM test, even after reseating the module. When I swap the RAM with an identical module in an identical iBook, the problem follows the RAM, ie. the problem module fails in the second iBook, and the RAM from the second iBook passes in the first computer. I can't find any reference to Macs on the download site for Memtest. Do I need to run any additional memory tests, or can I request an RMA? Thanks. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 8, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 8, 2007 Please look up your system on our memory configurator and see if the reseller will let you exchange these for the listed module.
rtbrown
The RAM for these computers was bought before I was here, and I haven't been able to find out which reseller they were purchased from. Do you have any information on the reseller based on the serial number, or can I make the exchange directly through Corsair?
