zkorpio
Hello guys, Are these compatible or I have to buy new memory or cpu? -Asus P5N32-SLI Premium -Corsair TWIN2X1024A-5400UL (four CM2x512A-5400UL) -P4 660 (3.60 GHz, 800MHz) I had before a P5N32-SLI Deluxe (not the SE) and it was working fine... but I upgraded the motherboard because I wanted to fit in two 7950 GX2 Video cards. It worked at first... windows installed just fine and was working... but after some time of using it, it started to restart giving me something about memory errors... can't remember... I did a memory test with memtest but gave me no erros so I sent the motherboard to asus and it was returned to me with saying that there's no problem with it. And now that I put everything back together it's just not working... I get no video signal :-( what could it be? Thanks for your help... zkorpio
Have you tried with 2 X 512 sticks? I'm confused at this: Which is it? 2 X 1024 or 4 X 512? Sorry... yes it's 4 x 512 and yes I tried to test only with 2 x 512 and didn't worked. Before I sent the motherboard to ASUS... at list I was able to boot the pc get into bios... and windows xp. it use to keep rebooting or giving me the blue screen but at list was something.... Now I can't because it doesn't give me Video signal at all... probably asus did a bios update/downgrade? :-( I'm getting crazy here... I have spent lots of money and I just can't finish with it... I mean, I love doing it, but I'm over budget and probably will be way over budget :-) if you know what I mean. - I want to keep my Video Cards (2 x 7950 GX2) - Motherboard - I can get rid of it by selling it or build another one? - Memory cards TWINX1024A-5400UL, could I do an exchange for another one...? or use it for building the other one? -by the way, I still have the p5n32-sli deluxe motherboard Thank you for your help.... I stiil need to know if there's any incompatibility with my motherboard (p5n32-sli premium) and the twin2x1024a-5400ul modules and my cpu P4-660 Thank you
DerekT
If you can not get into the BIOS with a single stick and you have tried both single sticks then it seems as though you have a motherboard issue. You can't enter BIOS with 1 stick?
zkorpio
I tried all four sticks... one by one and in pairs and still don't get video signal. I also did a test with the P5N32-SLI Deluxe... same cpu, same memory sticks, different video card, and I get the same thing! I get 1 long beep and 3 short ones... and no video signal, Another strange thins is that if I move the video card to the second pci-e slot I actually get video signal... I was able to install windows, but after installing the video drivers, windows can only start in safe mode. What could possibly be?, has my cpu gone bad?, is there a way to test a cpu? Is it difficult to do a rma with Intel? Thanks, Manny

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 20, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 20, 2007 I would suggest contacting the MB maker as it sounds like there is some issue with your Video card and that MB or maybe the Bios has some issue.
