r2tincan
My memory will litterally not fit into my motherboard. I've seen other people using this exact memory model with this exact motherboard model, and it should at least FIT. 240 pin ddr2 should fit into 240 pin ddr2. What is going on? The little ridge in the memory is a hair off in the place it's supposed to be. It's like it's DDR1. Please help.

r2tincan
Did you try the modules in another MB? And are you sure you have them in the right direcftion? It turns out I bought the memory from fry's and someone returned a DDR1 DIMM with a ddr2 sticker on it and frys resold it to me. Thanks
DerekT
LOL That's a new one. Some people have absolutely no morals. Your motherboard DDR2 DIMM slots (form factor) suffered no ill effects when you attempted to install it?

Thanks I have heard of this rather frequently and specifically at Fry's. It makes me wonder about their return policy and also how or if the inspect returned merchandise before returning it to the shelf.

Simply amazing. Here in Canada I have never heard of such a thing happening. Maybe we Canadians don't do such things? :p:
