SPD readings differ from the part number might indicates

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I have 2 modules of memory listed in the "IC Inquiry Thread" as manufactured on Samsung -5 TCCX chips:

CMX512-3200C2PRO XMS3202v4.1 0423071-3 = Samsung -5 TCCX

CMX512-3200C2PRO XMS3202v4.1 0427034-5 = Samsung -5 TCCX

As describe in the "What does C2, LL, PT, R or RE stand for in the part#?" thread C2 should means Cass 2-3-3-6, but my ABIT IC7 BIOS indicates Cass 3-3-3-8 (also CPU-Z shows the same). Is this normal or I have bad moduls?

And the last question. What does mean "-5" marker in IC's indication? I think TCC5. Am I right? How far can I go with overclocking them?

Sorry for my poor English.

Thank You in advance,
