Ryan_Nolan
Hey, I think one of my RAM modules has gone bad...I started to get BSOD sometimes and i decided to try and format and reinstall xp. Some of the XP files wouldn't copy for some reason during the install so i ran memtest86 and got over 400000 errors...I took out one of the mods and ran memtest again, this time with no errors...What can I do from here to get a replacement? Thanks a lot in advance! Ryan
Wired
More info is needed! What CPU / FSB / Motherboard do you have? What is the exact part # and revision # of each stick? Is it a TwinX pack? How To Read the Memory Label If you have more than one stick, have you tested one stick at a time in each slot using Memtest86+ (NOT memtest86)? If so, what timings / voltage did you test at? Ryan_Nolan
I have 2 of the corsair 1GB value select sticks...I tested each stick individually with memtest86+ in each of my slots. I have no idea what voltage i tested them at, i never changed anything in bios. One of the sticks gives me tons of errors. I took it out and even put in some old RAM that i had laying around and everything worked perfectly... I'm pretty sure this stick is bad... The part number is VS1GSDS333 and the serial and lot are 0610048-1 -687419. I have a laptop and have no idea what mobo is inside it...my other systems specs should be at the bottom of my post. Thanks...
