logicality12
I have a bad memory stick that I need to get replaced. I started getting memory errors with this stick of RAM inside the computer. I have 4 total of the same memory modules and I determined that this stick was bad through trial and error. If I put this memory in my computer, it would randomly restart in the middle of my gaming. Also, if I would put it in different memory slots, the computer would not start. Since removing this stick of RAM, I have not had any issues with the remaining 3 memory sticks. The model on the memory is CMX512-3200C2PRO. Please let me know if you need any other info.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 2, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 2, 2007 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have (Cass 2-3-3-6), and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
