Atomic-roach88
I recently ordered a complete rebuild, evga 680i 8800gtx, c2d 6600, raptor 150gig. Whenever i have my new corsair memory in I get c1 memory error. Ive tossed in some old cheap ddr2 and it boots fine so i change the settings to that of the corsair and still same old error. I read somewhere there was a fix to this for some memory im just not sure if its for the sticks ive got. Im fine with rma if i happend to get bad sticks(2 what are the chances) i just dont wanna send it out and get the exact same issue. Thanks in advance. DerekT
Clear the CMOS with the jumper. Enter your BIOS and set your memory at SLI Memory disable. Reboot. Then switch SLI Memory on and use the normal 4-4-4-12 settings. Please enter here and set down your specific hardware. This will help us to trouble-shoot your sytem. Download CPU-z and post your CPU, Memory and SPD tabs please. Use photobucket.com (or another image host) to upload your screenshots.
Atomic-roach88
so reset cmos, go into bios and set sli memory to disable then boot and set the settings for my corsair memory then try to toss them in? Did you want a screenshot from cpuz of the memory that DOES work, because so far my corsair memory has not posted at all. --I tryed to set sli to off in my bios but it doesnt even let me highlight it(the ram that works isnt sli) n o matter what i try it just wont boot. Ive tryed both sticks 1 at a time in each slot possible, i dont have another system i can test them in either. heres the cpu tab for now ill get the others posted when i get back from work http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r248/atomic88_2006/cpu-z-cputab.jpg

DerekT
Why is your system set to a wrong multiplier if you have set default settings? You have an E6600 with a 9 X multiplier which will give you a 2.4GHz system. Your CPU multiplier is set to 7 X and which gives you a 1.862GHz system. Thus your multiplier leads me to think that you have not reset your BIOS.
Atomic-roach88
I did what I was told to reset the bios. I never even changed the multiplier and i too noticed that it was not correctly set. Anyways I just went out and purchased another set of the same memory and it posted just fine. You wouldnt happen to know how Im able to change the multiplier(it doesnt let me select it in the bios). Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 3, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 3, 2007 The multiplier setting will be under Jumper Free or CPU configuration, and I would suggest you make sure that you have the latest bios version installed. And let's get that set of modules replaced that would not post if you have not done so! Please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them or it.
