I also have an odd stick of ******** ********400512V25, which is to be replaced with the new RAM. I'm looking to double my RAM with identical kits of Corsair. My question is what is the difference between VS1GBKIT400 and VS1GBKIT400C3? From the specs that I have seen, the only difference between the two of them is the latency. The C3 has a CL of 3 - which I assume is what C3 means... :p: Is the C3 better and if so, can I mix the 2 types and still run in dual-channel? DerekT Posted December 30, 2006 Share Posted December 30, 2006 AMD is usually pretty good with mixing strips and manually setting the timings so that they are identical and thus returning Dual Channel Mode. However, that being said, there is no guarantee that this will be the case either. It has just been my experience with all the boards (A64 939/AM2) I have tried this with have had no issues.
