Cant seem to locate manual settings for the twinx2048-3200 sticks?  Was going to add twinx1024-3200 2 sticks to this Asus A8N-SLI deluxe motherboard and was wondering about compatability issues? I have noticed some issues posted about this?? If doable any suggestions on timing and voltage would be helpful. Thanks,The Duke

3-3-3-8 2.75 volts. Memory should work fine with your M/B as long as you set timings manually. To ensure stable operation make sure your are giving the memory enough volts and have a good quality strong power supply. Also, check the stepping revision of your cpu. Early revs. (exp. BN) could be very finicky about memory and timings. Later revs. (exp. CF) play much nicer with memory and timings. I have a CF stepping 3700+ with TwinX2048-3200C2 running at 2-3-3-6 1T 2.75 volts on a Asus A8N-E and have absolutely no stability issues what so ever.

I will manually set those things. I thank You. The CPU is revision BH-E4? so says cpuz ? Still wondering if mixing 2 1gb sticks w/2 512mb sticks on that board will create problems. They are all twinx w/same timing ? total would be 3g memory and I think this board supports 4g. Just asking before i spend money on useless parts. Thanks,Jack:):

I wouldn't do it personally. You will find minimal benefit from the third GB and you would experience system slowdown due to the on CPU memory controller's added workload.

It's just not worth the tradeoff. If you had 1GB and wanted to install another, then I would advise to try it but with 2GB already, it is just not worth it in my view.

If you can find stability with 1T then I would choose 1T. If you can not then there is no choice but to go with the 2T command rate. Keep in mind that the function of the command rate is CPU(AMD) and Northbridge (Intel) specific and not a function of the memory.
