enigma96
I have an Intel Core 2 Duo 6600E running stock using an emermax liberty 500 watt psu. Everything works flawless at stock speeds. But as soon as I overclock the cpu I get the darn cold boot issue, where the fans spin up but that's it. If I hit reset its fine, and it only happens when I boot the computer after being off for a while. Would getting a bigger psu like the corsair 620 watt fix the cold boot problem, or is that more or less related to any psu reguardless of how much power it has? One last thing I also have a Xfx 8800 GTX video card in my system. Thanks
DerekT
This issue is motherboard and overclock specific. Unless your motherboard allows you a startup voltage increase you will very likely have this issue regardless of your power supply. What motherboard are you using with this system?
