shebacat
I purchased a new CMFSD60-1GB SD Card for use with my new Canon A710IS digital camera. Inserted the card into the camera and it worked OK for a few shots. However, after 5-6 shots, the pictures on the card started to have bars at the bottom and some showed up as "unrecognized format". After about 30 shots, I started to get a "Memory Card Error" and could not save any more photos to the card. I inserted the card into my card reader and attempted to format through Windows XP Pro SP2. Error message - "Unable to complete format". I had an older 512 MB SD Card that has worked flawlessly taking over 100+ pictures at full resolution (7.1 MP camera). Do I have a bad unit? What's the next step to get replaced? Thanks. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 26, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 26, 2006 Please try to format the card in your crd reader with this syntax and see if that will solve the problem: Format (X:) /FS:FAT32 /U (X=the drive letter assigned to the Flash Voyager) If you strill have problems let's try replacing your card, Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!
