DerekT
One Long and Two Short Beeps Video (Mono/CGA Display Circuitry) issue. Remove and replace your video card. Make certain it is well seated. Do you have another video card to test. http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

DerekT
Do you have any DDR2 value ram? If you do, replace the C4's with a single stick of plain DDR2 533Mhz Dram. If you can boot, then enter your BIOS and set your Dram to 2.1v (Vdimm). Shut the system down and replace the Dram with your C4's.
dhm
By value if you mean cheap, no... I am making a leap in performance... Hopefully!
DerekT
Can you replace one single stick into your motherboard's first DIMM. Then, remove the power cord plug from the computer. Remove the small battery in the computer. Leave it out for an hour or so and then press the power button for around five seconds (on the front of the computer) to bleed the capacitor. Replace the battery, replace the power cord. Restart.
dhm
Done that... also shorted the pins to reset the bios... Tried a single stick using both sticks also...
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 22, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 22, 2006 If the systenm will not post with either module one up I would suspect some other problem. Can you test the modules in another system?
neeko
I have the same mobo, cpu, and ram. Same effect too. Nothing on my screen. I have another system beside me. PSU checked out fine so it wasnt that. Video card worked fine on other system. I put in an PD 805 and still same problem. So now I am down to either the mobo or ram. And these two I cannot check out cause I do not have extra ram. I have the 6400c4 pro's. 2 one gig sticks. All products were brand new from Newegg. I even took the parts out of the case. Laid down a blanket. and set everything on anti static bags so it is not grounding out. My problem is that I do not know if I can return the mobo for I also have a Swiftech Northbridge cooler put on. Other than that no mods at all to the mobo. I got one blink of the bios once and that was it. Nothing else ever again. Thanks in advance guys. neeko
and my cpu is an e6600. The 805 is from my ten year old son's computer.
DerekT
Have you set the ram voltage to 2.1v?
neeko
We can't even get anything to show up on the screen let alone be able to get into the bios. If I could get into the bios then everything would be lovely and I would be able to get it all working. It's just that me and the other guy are having the same problem. We can't get the monitor to even kick on. I reset the cmos, tired each stick individually, disconnected everything but the vid card (which is just a simple x1300 and another x1600 to test), tried now 3 different PSU's, I have the board sitting on a towel with 3 large anti static bags fully lining the motherboard(motherboard bags) so I isolated the case grounding problem. I swapped the CPU's, nothing. So it comes down to the Ram or the Mobo. That is all that is left. And I do not have anything to test these 2 out:(: . I also reseated the CPU cooler twice and still nothing. Oh and now do you want to hear the worst part of all?????? This build was supposed to go against my brother and his MAC PRO! So now in my office I am getting laughed at and proving his point so much more. Now that is bad. Please have mercy on me.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 29, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 29, 2006 Can you test the modules in another system? A friend perhaps can help you! But it would be very unlikely that you have dead modules from us.
