2-2-2-5-1t

I also have an Asus A8N-SLi Deluxe and the TWINX1024-3200XLPRO, XMS3200, 1024MB, 2x184 DIMM, with funky LEDs and all.

I want to set it to 2-2-2-5-1T because it is supposed to be able to, it is the reason why I got them, only I am not able to because I have no idea how.

My system:

Antec Lanparty case

Tagan TG530-U22 (530W)

Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe

Athlon 64 Processor +3700

Zalman CNPS7000B-AICu LED

2x Asus Nvidia Extreme N6600GT 128MB

2x Western Digital raptor 68GB STRIPE

and of course 2x 512MB, TWINX1024-3200XLPRO

I was hoping Plug-n-frag was going to automatically optimise my ram for me, but when I check in my BIOS i see the following settings:

Timing Mode AUTO

Memclock index value 400 Mhz

CAS# latency (Tcl) 2.5

Min RAS# active time (Tras) 5T

RAS# to CAS# delay (Trcd) 3T

Row precharge time (Trp) 3T

Row cycle time (Trc) 11T

Row refresh cyc time (Trfc) 14T

Read-to-write time (Trwt) 4T

Write recovery time (Twr) 3T

1T/2T Memory Timing 2T

S/W DRAM Over 4GB Remapping Disabled

H/W DRAM Over 4GB Remapping Disabled

Ehm looks far from 2-2-2-5-1T to me

What does the 1st "2" of 2-2-2-5-1T stand for? I presume CAS# latency?

And the 2nd "2"? and so on?

I have put my DDR voltage to 2.8 volts, it was 1st on AUTO, but with no change to performance it seems.

Could you please advise me what settings I shoud change?

Thanks

Try these settings:

Timing Mode: Manual

Memclock index value: 400 mhz

Cas latency (TCL) : 2

Min ras active time (TRAS) : 5

Ras to Cas delay (TRCD) : 2

Row precharge time (TRP) : 2

Row Cycle time (TRC) : 16

Row refresh cycle time (TRFC) :22

Read-to-write time (TRWT) : 3

Write recovery time (TWR) : 3

1T/2T memory timing : 2

S/W Dram over 4gb remapping : Disabled

H/W Dram over 4gb remapping : Disabled

Hyper transport frequency : 5

Amd K8 Cool'nQuiet : Enabled

Jumperfree Configuration:

Overclock profile: Manual

CPU frequency : 200

PCI Express : 100mhz

DDR voltage : 2.7

Chipset voltage : 1.6

HT voltage : 1.25

CPU multiplier : 11

CPU voltage : 1.550

PCI clock syncronization mode : 33.33mhz

Test your system for stablity. Use Prime95:

http://mersenne.org/gimps/p95v2414.exe

Test for stability for ~8 hours. You can use the computer while you test but I advise not using system intensive tasks such as rendering video, burning cd/dvd's or gaming.

If you are stable at this setting then I advise you to enter your BIOS and set:

1T/2T memory timing : 2

from 2 to 1 and retest once more. If you are stable at these settings and 1T, then you are good for the go.
