Corsair C58500 and the Asus P5N32-E

Built a new upgrade yesterday with the above mentioned board and ram. Although the ram has a sticker on the packaging indicating SLI Ready and the pdf for the product lists that this ram has EPP profiles, when I went into the bios to enable SLI ram (it was listed as disabled upon installation), there is no way to enable the SLI feature. Also, the ram timings on boot don't seem to match as well.

How do I enable the ram sli feature (the specific reason I bought this ram)?

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback but I actually figured it out myself. The ram "sli" feature has nothing to do with video cards. Its an auto overclocking tool for ram with epp profiles. I actually changed my ram at the supplier to another brand of PC2-8500 SLI ready and it worked fine. It's apparently the corsair that is the issue (although the pdf on the product states it supports it and the package has an "sli ready" sticker).

Interesting how the forum auto blocks the names of competitor ram. lol. Starts with an O.

This is a forum where help is given with Corsair products. It is not a forum to compare one companies product with another companies product.

You can see by the marking out of other companies products that the Forum management does not want the problems that comes with Fanboyism, arguments and comparisons that lead to discourse. This site was created to help those with Corsair products and for no other reason.

If it is allowed then such warring will happen. You are a long time forum user who has no doubt seen this happen at those forums where such comparisons are made. Amd vs Intel, ad-infinitum, ad-nauseum.

So those who state another companies products in a way that bypasses the built in protocols is bypassing the direct rules of the forum.

I'm sure you can see this issue and how it can grow into flame-wars. I am not saying that yours would, but certainly the line is drawn so that it can't and by following the rules, you help to keep this forum clean of such warring factions.

Thanks for your help and understanding,

3) NO DISCUSSION OF COMPETITORS: This forum is here for the express purpose of supporting current and future users of Corsair Memory. Please do not discuss other modules or their suppliers by name on this forum, either in a positive light or a negative one. Such posts or threads will be edited or deleted at our discretion.

Under protest as to the rules of the site? OK....

By the way, I am not a moderator of this forum. I work at the request of RamGuy and asked you to not circumvent site rules by using an alternative method to state competitor's names. No more, no less.

The SLI ready setting does indeed work with these modules. It may have been that you got an early build of our XM2S-8500 modules that may not have had the EPP settings and should you had replaced them with us I am sure they would have worked properly! However thank you for letting us know and we will take note of your concerns!
