stoney7713
I have a matched set of cmx512-3200xlpt, has ran great for 2 years now. I recently started getting a lot of BSOD errors and started troubleshooting the problem. I removed the RAM and tried booting with one stick installed, booted fine, I removed that stick and tried the other one and it will POST but windows generally fails to boot or I get a BSOD. I run the timmings loose 2.5 3 2 5 because of my motherboard, STD voltage, no OC. I'm in the process of running memtest on the stick of RAM the I'm having problems with but after 30mins no errors have been found, I'm going to leave the memtest up and running all day just to check. Could the stick of RAM be going bad and memtest not finding any errors? Thanks
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 18, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 18, 2006 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 26, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 26, 2006 Those modules have a minimum suggested Voltage of 2.75 Volts. Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
