shadowmite
I have a CMFUSB2.0-4GB, the 4gb flash drive, which appears to be a bad unit. It works great for small files, but every once in a while or if I try to copy over a large file (collection of files) it will lock up and I get error messages that the device is "write protected". If I then remove it and try again it will normally work for a little longer, but sometimes I have to delete files before I can use it again. And this happens on multiple computers. Any advice? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 12, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 12, 2006 That might suggest a power problem, you might check the MB Manual and see if you can change the power source for the USB to the +5 Volts rail and see if that will solve the problem. shadowmite
Nope, as I stated, this affects multiple computers, but to try it I checked my 3 systems bios's for this option, 2 already enabled, and the 3rd it wasn't there. The problem remains however. I'm fairly certain the memory is bad. Can I get a replacement/exchange on this?
