Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 12, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 12, 2006 With a 1066 FSB CPU and 4 modules I would suggest DDR-667 for the memory frquency. But you will not see the full 4 gig of memory if you have the 32 Bit version of Windows!
Nizelor
So only chance to have 4G Ram is WIN XP 64bit and 2 x TWIN2X2048-6400C4D at DDR-667? Or some different type of ram?
DerekT
I have seen issues with that motherboard and all four slots filled. The issues I found though were with 4 X 512. Errors in Windows and memtest and no issues when tested with 2 X 512 of either pair and all four tested in solo.
Nizelor
I have seen issues with that motherboard and all four slots filled. The issues I found though were with 4 X 512. Errors in Windows and memtest and no issues when tested with 2 X 512 of either pair and all four tested in solo. I have same problem with 4x 1024MB RAM. Thats why i have to be sure, that Corsair will work. Only few RAM modules work in all 4 slots (as i see in QVL for this MOBO (and no Corsair was there)). Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 14, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 14, 2006 Its not the memory holding you back its just a limitation!
Nizelor
Its not the memory holding you back its just a limitation! OK. So even if i have 64bit XP and 2x TWIN2X2048-6400C4D (4x1g) on P5N32-SLI premium, it will not work correctly? Can you tell me, if this combination will work or not? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 15, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 15, 2006 You should be able to see the full size but the MB may reserve some for caching with any 64 Bit OS.

Yellowbeard
What if the FSB is 800 mhz? You may still have to lower the memory speed to 667 even you have an 800FSB CPU due to the load of 4 modules.
