ronsega
Had this kit for at least 3-4 month without any issues but just recently have I been experiencing issues (OS/Application crashes and random reboots). I did the memtest and on test #6 errors popped up on one of the sticks. I used my previous 1GB Corsair memory kit (CM2X512-4200) and reran the tests in both memory slots and no issues. I have a GIGABYTE mobo (8I915P Duo Pro) Since the VS2GBKIT533D2 is a kit, If I am able to RMA becuase of the bad stick will I be sending both sticks in and recieving a matched pair or will I just be sending in 1 stick and hopefully will be getting back a matching pair with the good stick I have? ronsega
After catching up on some other thing, this RMA was sitting in the back of my mind and realized I needed to check up on where it is at. I mailed back the RAM and according to the tracking number it was deilvered on Dec 18, 2006, about 2 days after mailing it out. How much longer will I be waiting for the replacement RAM? Thanks! ronsega
We show your RMA was delivered on the 28th! Ok well I'll check my front door when I get home from work to see if they dropped it off and if it is still there. Sometimes they leave pacakages in an inconspicuous location and I don't notice it unless they leave a delivery slip stating where it was left. I wasn't home to accept delivery in person and I don't recall seeing any redelivery notice slips. Wish I had the tracking number so that I would plan on being available to accept delivery. If the tracking number info is available somewhere for me to check, I did not know of it.
ronsega
OK just great. I asked my Dad to check since he just called me that he was dropping off some items at my condo and he said there is no package to be found!!! I will perform a thourough search of my property when I get home but its all open dirt area since I've never done any landscaping. It would suck if the strong winds that occurred at around the same area blew my package away from my property not to be found! Was the package delivered with a signature requried upon delivery or just delivery confirmation? I did not accept the package in person! This really has got me worried now... ronsega
OK I'm really upset. UPS just left the package but seems they did not try to redeliever since I was not able to accept the package in person. This experience has been horrible and I'm left with out replacement memory for my computer. I honestly don't know what to do about this. Don't know who is at fault and how am I going to get memory replacements now. I'm at a loss for the money I initially paid for these in the first place. I'm hoping that you or Corsair can help me resolve this with UPS somehow. I do feel UPS was negligible for just leaving the package and not trying to redeliver. Leaving it at my front door is not good enough, might as well just leave it at the curb/street.
ronsega
Took the liberty of filing a claim with UPS. Rather than wait for a response from you or corsair. I would appreciate it if you are corsair filed a claim with UPS (see bolded item) UPS Next Steps We will search for the package information and provide a Proof of Delivery, if available. Since this search has been initiated by someone other than the original shipper, it may not result in a claim. Because of the high gusty winds during the time frame of delivery and drop off at my front door on first delivery attempt, the package that weighed less than a pound is succeptible to be blown away. I feel UPS was negligible in not attempting a redilvery with the conditions at the time of first delivery attempt.

ronsega
I have little faith in the discussions with the customer support person I talked to at Corsair, that anything significant would be done by them to help me. This really is disappointing. I did not recieve tracking number so that I can plan ahead to be available when the package arrives. UPS just leaves the package at my front door, succeptible to theft or to other unfortunate conditions, and they don't even try to redeliver. http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/images/icons/icon13.gif
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 6, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 6, 2007 UPS is supposed to get a signature, and I am sure it will get resolved. Call me at 800-205-7657 and ask for Ram Guy on Monday and I will check it for you.
ronsega
UPS called me on the weekend. Apparently they delivered the package to the wrong condo/building number. I don't know how the delivery guy can fudge up the condo/building number. I checked the RMA mail label that was generated for me to use and it has my correct address so Corsair should have my address on file. They are supposed to contact Corsair on resolution. I am not going to ask the neighbor if they recieved the package or not. UPS will have to spend the money/time/resources to reclaim package and redeliver for the mistake they have made. If it were upto me, I'd also fire the UPS driver/delivery guy.

luishenriquemm
Hi Ram Guy, I have the same problem of ronsega with one of my sticks but unfortunelly just after I installed it. I ran the memtest and I got several errors on it. What should I do? Another important point is that I'm in Brazil and I got these sticks as a gift from my sister who lives in the States. May I send it/them for Corsair from here and get it back later? Tks, Luis

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 12, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 12, 2007 You RMA was processed on the 6th, you should have them soon, you can send an email request to rma@corsairmemory.com and ask them to give you the tracking information if you like, but I would expect you to get them in the next few days if you did not get them today!
