Naveed
Okay here's what I have AMD X2 3800 running stock (for now) and Memory running at everything default set by mobo. What are some of the tightest timings could you achieve with this config? Thanks
DerekT
It's hard to know for sure what the tightest timings your set will make so why don't you find out? I would set your vdimm to 2.1v. I would then test with 5 - 5 - 5 - 18 (Stock). Then if they passed I would test them at 5 - 5 - 5 - 15, 5 - 5 - 5 - 12. Now if you pass memtest at 5 - 5 - 5 - 12, then you can move to the next step of 5 - 5 - 4 - 12, 5 - 4 - 4 - 12 and finally 4 - 4 - 4 - 12. I would test at each step of the way. That is how I would do it as this would give me the correct run if the next one did not perform with stability. If you immediately jump to 2 - 3 - 3 - 6 and fail, then you have no idea of the drams capabilities. You can always test with even tighter timings if you wish but I personally believe that you will find your plateau before this would be workable. Naveed
last I remember I wasn't able to boot into WinXP when I set the Voltage of the Ram to 2.1v, I'll try again to confirm it. What I was referring to was the more intricate timing options available to tweak. I'm wondering what someone else with the same config was able to muster up as a rough guide into venturing into the land to hardcore tweaking
