Flash Voyager powers my system down...

I'm running my home pc and my office notebook since a couple of month/years without that problem which occurs since last week, and every time the problem occurs, the flash voyager is sticked in. My question is: can you imagine that the usb stick is the problem ?

My notebook (win xp) goes in standby mode and my pc switch-off completly, within a second. I haven't had those problems before using flash voyager (4 GB) but I'm working now with the stick since about 10 weeks.

Thanks for feedback, Thomas

That is not uncommon with desktops and usually there is a way to change the power source from the standby voltage to the +5 Volts rail on your desktop system check the MB manual for how to change that. But on the notebook I would suggest checking with the notebook mater for the latest bios or using an externally powered USB Hub that should solve the problem.
