msik
Hello, I purchased some new Corsair memory a couple of weeks ago as part of a new system. It was TWIN2X2048-5400C4 All is good till last night when I was getting blue screens within Winxp every 5 seconds after a restart. Ran memtest and both sticks are showing up errors. 1 stick had 500 within the first 5 mins. The second module had 24 after the first test. I am intending to RMA them but I am in Australia. Would I still follow the standard RMA procedure? Obviously there are going to be extra delays in getting replacements any idea how long it would take? Thanks, Mathew. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 6, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 6, 2006 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
