ThunderstrucK
Hi I'm having the same issue as edern, but I have a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz processor. The system was working well for 2 weeks until the past one. I was using WinXP Pro (32 bit) OS, the system restarts again and again sometimes presenting blue screens like PFN_LIST CORRUPT, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, PAGEFAULT_IN_A_NON_PAGED_AREA, IRQL_LIST_CORRUPT... The whole spec of the CPU is on my profile, for now I'm using an older PC for post here. I have a stock PSU 450w from RAIDMAX, according to eXtreme Power Supply Calculator (http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculator.jsp) the system needs around 350w, is that ok? I've read previous threads in this forum that talk about MB ASUS P5N32-SLI DELUXE, in one of them RAM GUY recommends the CORSAIR TWIN2X2048-6400C4 sticks (http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=261528&postcount=12), so I'm a bit confused. Thanks in advance
DerekT
These memory modules usually require more voltage than the JEDEC standards and this can often lead to issues of under-voltage if left to Auto settings. These modules are tested to their specific bandwidth and latences with 2.1v. If you can enter your BIOS, please enter and set your Vdimm (DRAM Voltage) to 2.1v and reboot. If you can not, please install a standard value stick of DRAM, restart and enter your BIOS, modifying the Vdimm. Shutdown the system, remove the value stick, place in your DRAM and restart. As well, I believe that your power supply is not enough for your system. ThunderstrucK
Thanks for the fast reply DerekT. I will change the voltage for DRAM to 2.1v, but is this a good idea for now while I buy a new PSU? I took a look to your PSU, and its great. I would like to install another EIDE HDD. What kind of PSU do you recommend to me? Do you think the power is the issue that is the cause of the restarts? Thanks again.
DerekT
This could very likely be a PSU issue. Certainly it would be the first part I would look at when I perused your system hardware. I have found that the Corsair 520Watt PSU is a very robust and healthy power unit. It will easily supply your power requirements with stability. ThunderstrucK
Thanks for the tip about the PSU. I've bought my PC items at NewEgg.com Here are the both PSUs: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Brand=1459&N=2010320058+50001459&Submit=ENE&Manufactory=1459&SubCategory=58 Is there any overheat issue if I decide to buy the 620w PSU? The case have a (sorta noising) door fan and a blue LED that I would like to connect. Thanks very much

Since there is more power held back, there is less thermal output of the PSU. As well, you will not have to worrry about adding additional power hungry components. My wife has the 520HX and I have the 620HX. She uses an X1900XT and an E6600 with 2GB 6400C4's clocked to 3.2GHz. Her power readouts are almost the same at Idle / Load which considering an X1900XT is a phenominal thing. I have a 7900GTX which is far less power consuming so it is more understandable that the 620 Idle/Load is the same. They both are most excellent PSU's. ThunderstrucK
Thanks for your response Derek. I did a try modifying the Memory Voltage to 2.10v using both: "Manual" and "AI N.O.S." profile in BIOS with my current PSU (450w), but there was no success, the system restarted after a seconds when loading Windows after "Welcome" label. I've ordered the 620HX PSU from Corsair in Newegg.com, I hope it arrives soon (this weekend) and I'll write what happened. Regards
