Asus M2N-E with Corsair VS2GBKIT533D2

I have troubles with this ASUS M2N-E and the Corsair Value Select RAM (VS2GBKIT533D2)

I'm having random XP BSODs, and application crashes.

I have the latest BIOS (0304)

My CPU/RAM is not overclocked.

All BIOS settings are at their defaults (except for RAM voltage - see below).

I tested it with Memtest86 1.65 and it gave me a whole bunch of errors in test #7

I tested it with USB legacy turned off.

Tested with RAM voltage at 1.95 and at Auto. Both voltage settings produced errors. Tested with RAM chips inserted into different slots.

All combinations produced errors in Memtest86 test #7. I didn't do any further Memtest86 testing.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks ahead of time.

Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.1 volts and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.

I have narrowed it down to one bad module.

This is what Memtest86 v1.65 shows as bad (Red):

Tst Pass Failing Address Good Bad Err-Bits Count Chan

7 1 000357a3fb8 - 855.1MB c56ea44d 856ea44d 40000000 1 "_"

7 1 00036fe3fb8 - 879.1MB 94e5c204 94e5c204 40000000 1 "_"

7 1 000317a3fb8 - 791.1MB 67180fa3 27180fa3 40000000 1 "_"

7 1 000327a3fb8 - 807.1MB e501fdaa a501fdaa 40000000 1 "_"

7 1 00031fe3fb8 - 799.1MB f0c34d13 b0c34d13 40000000 1 "_"

"_" = blank

This result I got when testing with only 1 module, in 2 different slots. I didn't get any errors when testing the other module. With both modules, I got many many more errors. Probably because of the interleaving?

These tests were done with the latest MB BIOS, DIMM voltage at 1.95v, and USB legacy turned off.

Thanks
