Adding additional memory and won't boot

Hi,

First off, great service your doing. I read many posts looking for answers to my problem.

I have an Intel D975XBX MB with Core 2 duo 6600 CPU (latest bios)

1 GB ram installed

xms6405v4.1 100545099 0632021-0

xms6405v3.1 100525543 0628012-3

I want to add an additional 1 GB ram I purchased

xms6405v4.1 000445 0635434-0

xms6405v4.1 001569 0635434-0

Now computer won't boot; nor any beeps.

I take out the original pairs and use the new pairs and all is fine.

I've used both bank 0 and 1 and all is ok

but it seems they won't play nicely using both pairs.

I did notice one module is a different revision. Would that make a difference?

I'm using 800mhz 5-5-5-13 2.1volts

I look forward to you wisdom

Brad

You may have overlooked it. It's in my original post.

That should not be a problem especially if One Rev 3.1 and One Rev 4.1 Module will run with out problems.

Its not a warranty issue and from what you have posted I would suspect some other problem MB or PSU!

But you are welcome to contact our customer service and ask them if they can replace all of your modules so they all match!

Hi,

Purchased an additional 1gb of memory and now the module revisions all match.

All is working fine. 2gb with no issues.

Obviously something is bad with the original 2-512k ram modules. Not sure what.

Question: Can I return the bad modules back for replacement? If so would it be possible to send you 4-512k modules to be replaced by 2-1gb modules? I only have 4 slots in my Intel mother board. This would give me 3gb.

Thanks
