Hi...

it's first time that I write here!;):

I'm Francesco and i'm Italian(sorry for my English)

I write for a problem!

I can reach 800mhz with my memory Corsair Twin2x 2x512 5400c4!

I have a Core2Duo E6300 and i've set FSB to 400!In this way my memory may be work to 800mhz...but i can't reach stability in windows!(i not pass some test like Orthos or S&M!And i know that is a memory's problem!)

My bios settings are:

Vram = 2.1v

Timings: 5-5-5-15

The specific of my memory are:

Vram = 1.9

Timing: 4-4-4-12

Why i can reach 800mhz?!?How i must set my BIOS?!?

P.S. I've disabled Legacy USB...it's right?!?

Please help me!:p:

Greetings .... Francesco

The modules are rated at Cas 4-4-4-12 at 667 Mhz at 1.9 Volts minimum. They may not run at 800 Mhz test them at their tested settings first!

Ok...i've tested it at 667Mhz,1.9v,4-4-4-12...the system is stable!

Now i'm running at 385 Fsb with memory at 770Mhz,2.0v,5-5-5-15 and Write to Precharge delay 15 (as you suggest in a topic).

If i try to go over 385 Fsb the system become instable! Why?!?

I've tried to set memory at 2.1v and 2.0v yet with timing 5-6-6-18,5-6-6-15,4-4-4-12...but nothing!

What do you suggest me?!?I can't go on 800mhz with my Corsair XMS2 5400c4 675mhz?!?

I know that other people with less performant memory can reach 800mhz!Why i can't?!?

Please...help me!:[pouts:

Greetings...;):

I would try and lower the memory Frequency and CPU multiplier

I've the multiplier at 7!I can choose 6 or 7 with my E6300.

If i want to reach 2.8mhz i must set the multiplier to 7 and FSB to 400,so i have the memory at 400mhz!

a lot of people reach that frequency...without a problem, with 667mhz value memory! Why i cannot reach it with my Corsair XMS2?!?

If I set a low multiplier for CPU,6,and i want to reach 2.8ghz i must set RAM 1:1?!?In this way i have FSB at 466 /466x6=2.8ghz) and RAM at 923mhz!Is it possible?!?

EDIT: Now i'm running stable at 386 FSB (2.7ghz),Vram 2.0v and timins 5-5-5-15!

First thing,

An E6400 at 1200 FSB is one heck of an over clock for that CPU but some have got close. But you have to run the memory in sync with your CPU! and then work you way up slowly.

DDR2 Memory runs at:

DDR2-533 = 266 Clock Frequency 2 X 266 = DDR2 533

DDR2-667 = 333 Clock Frequency 2 X 333 = DDR2 667

DDR2-800 = 400 Clock Frequency 2 X 400 = DDR2 800

DDR2-1066 = 533Clock Frequency 2 X 533 = DDR2 1066

Intel CPU:

533 MHz = 133 MHz Clock Freq. 133 X 4

800 MHz = 200 MHz Clock Freq. 200 X 4

1066 MHz = 266 MHz Clock Freq. 266 x 4

Also I would encourage you to do a bit more research on some over clocking forums and I think things will be come more clear. And I would try and lower the memory Freq. to 400 MHz beause of the CPU Over Clock you are beyond the memory spec.

I've searche weherever...in every forum for OverClocking,Memory and MotherBoard!

I've found some settings!A lot of people with my configuration, and memory less performant, reach 800mhz!

Why i can't?!?I've tried to set different timing...and i've reach good results!

Now i ask you...what are the best timings to go at 800mhz with my memory?!?

Please...tell me so i can test it!;):
