LeipeDruyl
My mobo (MSI K8N Neo Platinum) should be able to have 2Gb of PC3200 ram onboard........ I've already got 1x ******** 1Gb (KVR400x64C3A/1G) (3-3-3-8-2T) which works fine on its own...... I had my older PC2700 ram, replaced with 2x Corsair 512Mb (VS512Mb400) (2.5-3-3-8-2T)....... which work fine aswell Which should make a total of 2Gb @ 200Mhz (3-3-3-8-2T)..... Now I'm encountering the following problem: My total of memory will ONLY work @ 166Mhz, 1T, dispite trying diffirent configs in my bios. At 2T my system DOES recognize the total 2Gb, but reboots before windows will load..... So (somehow???) my system will only run the total of 2Gb @166Mhz, 1T...... But if I try the ******** alone its runs fine @200Mhz, 2T..... And the same with the 2 corsairs.... When i start combining them, the things start getting weird..... Anybody any suggestion??? Maybe the RAM Guru knows??
Wired
This is one of the many reasons why it's never recommended to mix memory from different manufacturers. You're also mixing memory of different sizes, which can cause the same problem.
