Danny128
I am looking to upgrade my system's ram to 1gb. Now I currently have 512mb of Corsair XMS DDR 333 (PC 2700) ram. I'm having a very hard time trying to locate the same 512mb stick that I bought years ago. My question is: what is the best way to upgrade to 1gb? Can I add a 512mb stick of Corsair value select or is it bad to mix ram types? Also, I've heard it's bad to use all three ram slots (i.e. go to 1.5gb of memory) as it can cause system problems. Thank you for your help.
RJLeong65
It is also bad to mix different memory types, as such mixing may result in major problems down the road. And many newer platforms will simply refuse to even POST at all whatsoever.
