sevsuk
I customer built a pc some months ago on the following spec: A8N32 - SLI DELUXE MOTHERBOARD AMD ATHLON 64 2 X 3800 PROCESSOR CORSAIR S X 1024 DDR RAM My PC crashed several days ago. it booted up, crashing at a blue screen. The error message was 'UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME'. I took the pc to pc world who confirmed that the hard drive was still intact and all data was retreivable (they connected my hard drive to another pc to confirm this). I beleive they then disconnectd the battery on the motherboard, to restart settings to default, as a next stage. I am now getting an error message 'BIOS is not acpi compliant'. I called the reseller to gain input from them. The advised that I insert a bootable cd containing memtest, to check the memory. I have never used this program, but reported the error messages to the reseller, who advised me that the ram is 'fried'. Can you advise me of the next stage please. sevsuk
Sorry, but can you tell me how to get this info, i.e. from what screen in the bios
Yellowbeard
You'll need to refer to your manual. I think the bios section is probably chapter 4. Also, most of this is probably under the ADVANCED tab.
