Godspeed
Dear Sirs, I have been experiensing some problems since the beginning of this week with blue screens in Win XP and unable to load windows after the crashes. I have been running this configuration approximately 1year in the current condition. I have 1*265MB Corsair XMS2400 and 3* 256MB Hyundai. I have run Memtest on all off the modules seperately and Hyundai seems no problems. For the Corsair I have problems from the first test. I have bought the modules in my home country Belgium but am currently living in Japan for 6months. I have bought them in 2001. The shop in Belgian where I bought the Ram has gone bankrupt a couple of years ago. I still have the receipt though. I have read I need to post on this form to obtain the PostID #. Is it possible to replace this module with somthing that works on my current configuration? My configuration: CPU: AMD 2400+ Motherboard: Abit KX7-333 Raid Hard Disk: Maxtor 40GB, Maxtor 80GB CD/DVD: Plextor PX-W5224A, NEC-3500 Video Card: ATI Radeon 9550, Matrox Milenium II Sound Card: Sounblaster Live 5.1 PSU: Chieftec 340W Kind Regards Bart aka Godspeed

When I add it, the PC doesn't start up. Fans start turning but no beep and no screen. I have had this problem in the past when trying to upgrade my ram with following brands: OC-Z: OC-Z 512MB 333 pc 2700 Ki-ngston:2*512MB ram PC3200 Infineon: 2*512MB ram PC3200 But my corsair worked before :-) Any ideas? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 6, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 6, 2007 You should not mix memory, but I would try and reset the bios with just our module installed and then test it with http://www.memtest.org after you set the tested settings. And what is the part# of the module they sent you?

Godspeed
I have received new modules from the RMA department. 2*XMS CMX512-3200C2PT 400Mhz. Unfortunately they do not work. When I install 1 or 2 of them in Dimm1 (and 2) there is a Bios beep. Long beep-pause-long beep-pause-.... this should mean there is no memory installed on the mainboard. When I install them together with a Hyundai module there is no beep and no screen. I have done it before and after a Bios reset. I have contacted Abit support today by web form to ask for support on knowhow about the compatibility issue. I hope to find out more about the specification of the DDR that I can use on the mainboard. I know it is an older system but it still runs well if there is enough RAM :-). I was not planning to change my mainboard and CPU yet for an other year or so. Cheers Bart
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 16, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 16, 2007 You cannot mix memory with most MB's now, please just our modules one at a time and before you turn on the system please use the Clear CMOS jumper to reset the BIOS and see if it will post! Godspeed
You cannot mix memory with most MB's now, please just our modules one at a time and before you turn on the system please use the Clear CMOS jumper to reset the BIOS and see if it will post! This unfortunately gives the beep error discribed above. When I mix there is no boot.
