gqmracerx7
I think I may be asking a lot with this post... :o: I have the mobo manually set @ 1.9V 5-5-5-12. Although I've read tRAS should be 15 instead of 12 and the mobo sees 15 when set on auto. CPUz shows 18 under the SPD tab in the timings table. Does this mean I should use 15 then??? Also CPUz in the SPD has an entry under trc as 22. What's trc? Is this the Refresh Cycle? I've also seen "Write to Precharge Delay" should be bumped from the current setting of 10 to 15. But what about the following: DRAM Write Recovery Time (Currently 6) DRAM TRFC (Currently 42) Is this Refresh Cycle? DRAM TRRD (Currently 10) Is this Read Delay? Rank Write to Read Delay (Currently 10) Read to Precharge Delay (Currently 10) And another question... I have a Core 2 Duo E6400 that I'd like to bump to 3.2GHz, or maybe only 2.56, (both of those setting would allow me to pick DDR2-800MHz for the DRAM frequency in the BIOS, Is this actually necessary or is selecting frequencies like 833 or 1066 OK?) from the stock 2.13. How would that affect the RAM timings and voltage from above? For instance do I go to 6-6-6-18 @ 2.1V and leave the other settings like "Write to Precharge Delay" @ 15? In hindsight I probably should have bought the TWIN2X2048-6400C4PRO (I just went with what ASUS had listed on their site). If I would bite the bullet and get the C4, what would those values be then? Thank you for your time and help, Grant Just in case it's useful I'm copying the whole system setup: ASUS P5B Deluxe Core 2 Duo E6400 ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400PRO eVGA 7900GS 256-P2-N625-AR COOLER MASTER RS-550-ACLY COOLER MASTER CM Stacker MCE2005 WD Raptor WD1500ADFD WD Caviar WD2500KS SB X-Fi Platinum Dell 2007WFP Microsoft Natural 4000 Logitech MX400
gqmracerx7
I figured out some the OC questions I had and I don't know how I missed the thread: http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54705&page=1 but a lot of the info I wanted was at least brought up there.
