palese
8500C5D is crashing my system, even the default timings. I have never had this much trouble with OCing with ram before this. I have more then enough power for this system so its not a power issue. I do not use the EPP as it crashes on anything other then 0%. I take my cpu to 3.6 and the ram can not hang with it. I do not go past the 1066MHz its rated at so whats up with this:confused: I can only go 3.4 at default 5.5.5.15 with out crashing 3D Mark06. What are the timings most people would use on an overclock?
Matt McFaul
Im sure the problem are the subtimings though as they ussually are with this ram. Ram guy...can you guys stop beating around the bush and just release the full timing chart for your epp???

I guess im just confused, if I do not OC the cpu do I just pick an EPP profile like say 3%? I see you have the same MB should PCIE link boost be disabled when I use EPP? Sorry for all the questions:eek:
Matt McFaul
I read the whole nvidia overclocking manual and Im kinda going from there. I just put the board in yesterday swapping out a p5wdh deluxe. I cant use any of the profiles or the system will will give off a c1 error. I have noticed that none of the profiles seem to set the ram at the epp rated timings though, so ive backed off messing with the ram all together and Im locking it at jedec 800mhz to test the cpu's overclockability. I can tell that something is wrong even at the jedec settings though because Ive gone from 1 xp boot bar pass to about 4 with no overclocking whatsoever. This is a real pain because i bought this board because the 975 couldnt do 1066 with this ram due to sub timing issues. If we can get the proper sub timing for 1066 then we can disable epp and just manually set it, then lock the ram at 1066 or its highest oc, and continue on with the real meat...the cpu:D:
