jsr1138
Hi I have just recently purchased a new 939Dual-VSTA ASrock motherboard that have one more ram slot than my old motherboard. I also purchased an additional stick of 512MB (VS512MB400). The new memory module has eight 64mb chips on one side and my other modules all have 32mb chips on both sides. The problem is that my motherboard will not use the memory in dual channel mode with the odd chip. The three other modules work fine (two at a time), and will run in dual channel mode. My question is would it be possible to exchange out the new memory module for the older type that utilizes the 32mb chips on both sides? Thank you Jim Riney
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 18, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 18, 2006 Corsair only guarantees compatibility for dual channel systems on the VS Kits or the XMS Twin packs. We do not guarantee if the modules are purchased individually.
