Wired
Memory: 2x cmx512 3200c2pt 2x cmx256a-3200c2pt You're mixing sticks of different sizes and using more than 2 sticks. Both will cause it to slow down, and it's never recommended to mix memory of different part #s, as that can cause instability, or not even work. karhn69
i had to use the diffrent size memory because my mobo would only use double side in dimm 1-2 and then single sided in dimm 3-4 for dual channel to work i get better speeds with just 2x 512kb so i will stick with that so what would be best in a ddr2 setup as i am upgrading to am2 board soon cheers
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 20, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 20, 2006 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS2700C2 Cass 2-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
