2 x CMX1024C2 - 1 stick goes bad

Recommended Posts

For the 2nd time in 2 months, I have had a single stick of CMX1024-3200C2 go bad. The first time, it caused my computer to stop POSTing at all, until I found out that by running the single stick that was good it would work again. The second time, I got corrupt BIOS errors and could not boot to windows until I removed a stick. This is very frustrating, because both times it has completely fubared my OS and I lost 30 gigs of valuable data last time (thankfully I backed up everything this time). I've checked the memory compatibility pages and its supposed to work fine with my setup, and usually does it until it goes bad. All the timings are by SPD both times, there is no overclocking, just running my system at safe defaults. RAM Guy, do you have any suggestions about preventing this in the future? I realize the modules have a lifetime warranty, but maybe I need to get different modules for this system to be stable? Setup is listed below. If you need more info please let me know.
