Scottyman
Will the Dominator series modules clear the heat pipes on the TT Big Typhoon? In my current setup (going to eVGA 680i this week),the top of the memory clears the heat pipes by 1/4 to 1/2". How much higher are the Dominator series memory sticks than your regular Corsair TWINX2048-4000PT sticks? I'm hoping to use the TT Big Typhoon with the eVGA 680i, e6600 and your Dominator 6400 set. Thank you Scott UPDATE: After comparing pics of my current mobo and the Evga 680i--it appears that the spacing between the cpu socket and the nearest memory slot is greater with the 680i. That's good news! It should fit with no prob---In theory. :) Do I get a discount on the Dominator modules for answering my own question?? ;)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 15, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 15, 2006 The Dominator modules need about 2" of clearence and if you use the fan you would need about 3 1/2" of clearence above the memory!

Scottyman
Ramguy: In your IC Inquiry thread: http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44365 -The Dominator set I should be receiving tomorrow (TWIN2X2048-6400C4D) is not listed. Which IC's are used for these modules? Thanks. :)

Scottyman
I would HIGHLY SUGGEST that you re-read the IC Inquiry Thread. I've already been through it many times scouring the DDR2 section, but it is NOT in there. These are all of your 6400 DDR2 modules listed: CM2X1024-6400C3 6403v1.1 0619028-4 = Micron, 64Mx8, 2-667 CL5, Rev D CM2XP1024-6400C4 6404v1.1 0635044-1 = Micron, 64Mx8, 2-533 CL4, Rev D CM2X1024-6400C4 6404V2.1 0635221-22 = PROMOS 667MHZ, CL5, .09u 64Mx8 CMX1024-6400C4 6404V2.1 0636063-3 = PROMOS 667MHZ, CL5, 0.09u 64Mx8 CM2X1024-6400C4 6404v1.1 0626099-3 = Micron, 64Mx8, 2-667 CL5, Rev D CM2X1024-6400C4 6404v1.2 0620097-1 = Micron, 64Mx8, 2-667 CL5, Rev D CM2X1024-6400 6405v5.1 0635148-0 = PROMOS 667MHZ, CL5, .09u 64Mx8 CM2X1024-6400 6405 v.5.1 0634219-6 = PROMOS 667MHZ, CL5, .09u 64Mx8 CM2X1024-6400 6405v5.1 0639158-0 = PROMOS 667MHZ, CL5, 0.09u 64Mx8 CM2X512A-6400 6405v3.1 0639014-2 = Infineon AENEON, Die Rev B, 64M X 8 CM2x1024-6400 6405v5.1 0633002-15 = PROMOS 667MHZ, CL5, 0.09u 64Mx8 CM2X512A-6400 6405v4.1 0633067-1 = PROMOS 800MHZ, CL5, 0.09u 64Mx8 CM2X1024-6400 6405v5.1 0634287-2 = PROMOS 667MHZ, CL5, 0.09u 64Mx8 CM2X1024-6400 6405v5.1 0631252-2 = PROMOS 667MHZ, CL5, 0.09u 64Mx8 CM2X1024-6400 6405v5.1 0631252-9 = PROMOS 667MHZ, CL5, .09u 64Mx8 CM2X1024-6400PRO XMS6405v1.1 0610028-1 = Micron, 64Mx8, 667, CL5, Rev D CM2X1024-6400 XMS6405v5.1 0633171-6 = PROMOS 667MHZ, CL5, .09u 64Mx8 CM2X1024-6400 XMS6405v5.1 0629230-7 = PROMOS 667MHZ, CL5, .09u 64Mx8 CM1024X2-6400 XMS6405 v4.1 0626413-3 = Infineon, Die Rev B, 64MX8 CM2X1024-6400PRO XMS6405v3.1 0609115-2 = Infineon, Die Rev B, 64M X 8 CM2X1024-6400 XMS6405v4.1 0609102-1 = Infineon, Die Rev B, 64M X 8 CM2X1024-6400, 6405 v1.4, 0606096-2 = Micron, 64Mx8, DDR2-667, CL5, Rev D CM2X512A-6400 XMS6405v1.1 0531093-0 = Micron, 64Mx8,2-533, CL4, Rev A CM2X512A-6400 XMS6405V3.1 0609062-1 = Infineon, Die Rev B, 64M X 8 CM2X1024-6400PRO 6405v1.3 0610028-1 = Micron, 64Mx8, DDR2-667, CL5, Rev D CM2X512A-6400 XMS6405v3.1 0628012-2 = Infineon 64Mx8, DDR2, Rev B (90nm) CM2X512A-6400 XMS6405v4.1 0631250-9 = PROMOS 0.09u 64Mx8 ETT According to your site this is--Part Number » TWIN2X2048-6400C4D, but that is nowhere to be found in that list. Wired
.... To accurately find out which ICs are in which memory, the following is needed: 1. Part # 2. Revision # 3. Lot # You need to post that information in the IC INQUIRY THREAD to INQUIRE what ICs are in your memory.
